ATLANTA, Ga. A fatal crash involving a semi-truck caused significant disruptions on a major road in South Fulton early Wednesday morning. The tragic two-vehicle accident occurred around 3:40 a.m. in the westbound lanes of South Fulton Parkway, between Interstate 285 and Buffington Road.
FOX 5 cameras captured the aftermath, showing a hearse and numerous emergency responders attending to the scene near the semi-truck. According to officials, a Hyundai was heading south on GA 14 when it veered off the right side of the roadway and collided with a tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder.
The driver of the Hyundai, whose identity has not yet been disclosed by police, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. In response to the incident, crews blocked all lanes to manage the situation, but the road has since been reopened.
